A Q&A on House Call Chiropractic

DSC_0335.JPG

One of the wonderful things about being a chiropractor is that I have the opportunity to go into the community, specifically to events, and talk about chiropractic. I meet people who have seen chiropractors all their life, and others who have been considering it for a while, but have always been on the fence. It is a great way for people to ask questions, get answers, so they no longer have to sit on the uncomfortable wooden divide between yards of thought. They can understand more of what chiropractors do, and ebb away any preconceived fears that they may have grown up with.

This past weekend, The Heights Chiropractic had a booth at the Health, Wellness, and Business Expo at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts, as well as at the Bridal Fair at the Domenico Winery. I would like this weeks blog post to illustrate a lot of the questions that were commonly asked, as well as introduce a few topics that will be further explained in subsequent posts.

Here are common questions and concerns that many people new to chiropractic asked:

1. So you come to my house. How does that work?

With house call chiropractic, I bring everything with me. At an appointed time, I bring a portable table into your home and set it up in a cleared area. During the first two visits, I will perform a full consultation, chiropractic examination, give a report of my findings, as well as provide your first adjustment.

2. How long do the appointments take?

The first two appointments are 45 minutes each. This way I may understand your health goals and exactly how chiropractic can help you achieve them. Any necessary follow up adjustments are 15 minutes in length.

3. How often will I need treatment?

Great question! It depends between each individual, as every person has their own health goals and needs. After your second visit, you will understand exactly what type of care you need, how frequently it will be, as well as how much it will cost.

4. How do you work with insurance?

In a direct reimbursement model - meaning, I give you the documentation you would need to submit to your insurance company. That way if you do have coverage for chiropractic care, you may get reimbursed.

5. Is it okay that my children are there?

Absolutely! I am so passionate about doing house calls so that health infuses the family unit. Your children will grow familiar with what adjustments are like, and will have the opportunity to get checked as well!

6. Wait, children get adjusted?

“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults!”

Children see immense benefits getting chiropractic care, as they are developing so much with their neuromuscular system. Stay tuned for more information on this topic, as so many benefits occur within their immune system as well as with their nervous system.

7. Do you do group sessions for family members?

Absolutely, after the first evaluation, it is convenient for most families to get adjusted during the same appointment time.

8. Do you go to corporate offices?

I do! Please contact me at connect@theheightschiropractic.com for more information!
